The Special Olympics of North Carolina offers a wide variety of sport and competition events for children, youth, young adults, and adults with intellectual disabilities. Currently, the organization is hosting virtual competitions to continue promoting health and wellness during the COVID 19 pandemic.
MMTHC offers a wide variety of programs for both children and adults. These sessions include therapeutic riding, ground school, equine facilitated psychotherapy, and many others! Younger children participate on Sunday mornings and teenagers compete on Friday evenings. Each player is paired with a buddy who plays with them and helps promote engagement.
